Petra to Madaba: mosaics on the way north.
A private car from Edom Hotel to Madaba takes about three hours, and Mount Nebo is a few minutes beyond. Many guests end the day at Queen Alia Airport, about half an hour from Madaba. The price is fixed per car before you travel.

At the hotel door at the time you choose. For a flight the same evening, leave in the morning.
What you see
North on the Desert Highway, or the slower King’s Highway through Karak and across Wadi Mujib, to Madaba and the sixth-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in St George’s church. Mount Nebo is ten minutes west, with the view over the Jordan Valley to Jericho.
