Amman to Petra: a private car.
A private car from any hotel in Amman to Edom Hotel takes about three hours on the Desert Highway. For a slower day, the driver can take the King’s Highway past Madaba, Karak and Shobak castles instead. The price is fixed per car before you travel.
On the road.
Where we meet you
At the door of your Amman hotel at the time you choose. Morning departures reach Petra in time for an afternoon walk to the Treasury.
What you see
Two roads lead south. The Desert Highway is the quick one: three hours of open plateau. The King’s Highway is the old road: it winds through Madaba, drops into the canyon of Wadi Mujib, passes the castles at Karak and Shobak, and takes most of a day if you stop. Tell us which one you want.
Door to door
The driver takes you to the door of your hotel, camp meeting point, terminal or site, and helps with the bags.

Do you also go back to Amman?
Yes, the same route runs the other way. Choose it in the form and add a note.
