A private car from Edom Hotel to the Dead Sea resorts takes about three hours. The driver can go down Wadi Araba along the Dead Sea Highway or up the King’s Highway with a stop at Karak or Shobak castle, and the price is fixed per car before you travel.

The low road drops from the mountains into Wadi Araba and runs north along the rift to the southern end of the Dead Sea, the lowest land on earth. The high road follows the King’s Highway past the Crusader castles and comes down to the shore at the end.
